Remember when I was like the tiger and I stalked you?
You didn't want me to bite so I layed in my lair and only waited
That one time when you came and I was the salamander
I didn't even change colors because you didn't want me to
when I was an ant you turned a heel and caught up my body
and you crushed and squooshed me
I always hated your voice anyhow and my fear of you grew
so I slinked like some sad ole animal
and I hid like some decrepit boxed up thing
and I fell from my cloud of youth to the pit of my oddity
and my fear was unlit
and the grains of my time were not smooth
So I knelt and I became fodder and kept all my animals quiet
so you could get… your peace
