When you spoke it flowed
so beautifully laced with sincerity
so totally open to you and you to me
You ran through me like no other
from the depths you pulled me
and for that I will never be ashamed
Touched my heart, felt the callouses
Touched my soul, felt the pain
you pulled it prodded it till it fled
Forgive me for being so lame, so needy
strong fronts always were my forte
but you saw the soft me hidden away
and revealed it to me even and I thank you

I tried so hard to be what I knew I could be

That it's not hard nor difficult to just be
