Lots of Mum

They tell me if you listen really closely you can hear the voices
I never held much creedence to that position 'till later
Mum says she has about nine

I sorta like the one she calls "Lady Blue"
A sexy gal she dresses up trashy and does a few nights out
Dragging her out of a hotel is no fun though
She can fight

I went to visit the psych who caters to mum's troubles
Pleasant little pill pimp really, though a bit talky for my tastes
Guess he helps her, though I can't see it
Mindbending conversations I've observed between mums others

Always wondered why da left
Thought it was me at times as he said so
But perhaps it was being married to seven or eight other folks
I guess polygamy didn't suit, and homosexuality either

Mum goes male at times, Frank his name is
He is a bastard for sure
Oh but Tiny One is a sweet, pulling along a stuffed bear
I hate seeing Mum fall into her
I weep sometimes

I hated da for hitting them to be silent
Some fought, some relented, some just stared
Hospital gave shocks to her to make her forget
But in her state of forgetfulness
She no longer knew who I was, for a year straight once
That hurt

I look back at being yelled at and hit and attacked
When so small
I think I may have pissed off more than one person
Though I only see her as Mum
I still love her
Split as she is

I guess you'd say I love them all
