Small
I'm small now
I used to be great
but now I'm small
here
Riding out the days it dawns
if I were no more
noone would remember
just that in itself is enough
to make me small
But there is so much more to it
when you come to a place
here
Such a place as this
and you are no longer a name
No longer significant
You become small
You shrink you see
then you have no rights
as a human
Are no longer part
of the human race
Therefore
less than an animal
as they are free
at least
And you are just small
The worms in the ground are larger
while you are less than a bug
I am less than a bug
I am just small
No consideration for feelings
Small ones have none you see
You eat when they say
as a small one should
and you sleep when they wish you to sleep
like any small thing
and you do tasks
that small folk do
Such as pick the bins
for teeth
of stupid old ladies who wrap them up in napkins
and accidently throw them out
because they forgot how to think
because
they are small now too
I wonder
if I will always be small
if it will become ingrained
even when I am allowed to leave
will I always be small
forever?
